Manually Release a Work Order from a Clearance

You can manually release a work order from a clearance when no workers have ever signed onto the work order. You must release the work order from the clearance so that the tags on the clearance can be restored and the plant system returned to operational status.

In this context, the term work order can refer to a work order or a permit.

Prerequisites:

• The work order must be associated with a clearance.

• There has been at least one craft approval for the work order.

• No users have ever signed onto the work order.

• The work order is not released from the clearance.

To release a permit from a clearance:

1. Open the work order you are releasing.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Supervisor Override > Release Work Order from Clearance. The Work Order Release from Clearance window opens.

3. Select the Release Work Order from Clearance check box.

4. Click OK.
