Relate tickets with the same classification

You can search for and create a related relationship with tickets that have the same classification as the current record.

If the current record is not a global, regional, or local record, the search results include any global, regional, or local records with the same classification. The search results do not include history records. Your system administrator might add more restrictions to the results that the application shows you.

You can also use this action to search for potential duplicate records.

To relate records with the same classification:

  1. In the appropriate application, display the record that you want to relate to other records.

  2. From the Select Action menu, select Show Similar Tickets. The Show Similar Tickets window displays tickets with the same classification as the current record.

  3. In the Show Similar Tickets window, select the check box next to each ticket that you want to relate to the current record, and then click Relate Records.

  4. Save the record. The selected records are listed on the Related Records tab with the relationship RELATED.
