Remove global, regional, and local flags from tickets

You can remove the global, regional, or local flag from an incident or investigation only after you remove the identifier for that record in all records related to it as a global, regional, or local record.

An incident or investigation is global, regional, or local if the Global Issue, Regional Issue, or Local Issue box is selected on the main tab or the corresponding application.

A record is related to a global, regional, or local record if its Related to Issue ID field displays the identifier of a global, regional, or local record.

To remove global, regional, or local flags from tickets:

  1. In the Incidents (Oil) application or the Investigations (Oil) application, display the record from which you want to remove the global, regional, or local flag.

  2. Click the Related Records tab to view the list of related records in the Related Tickets table window. Those records have the value RELATEDTOGL, RELATEDTOREGIONAL, or RELATEDTOLOCAL in the Relationship field.

  3. For each record that is related to the incident or investigation record, perform the following actions to clear the value in the Related Issue ID field:

  1. Click Detail Menu . Select Go To, and go to the application that corresponds to the record type.

  2. Clear the value in the Related to Issue ID field.

  3. Save the record.

  4. Click Return to return to the Incidents (Oil) application or the Investigations (Oil) application.

  1. Click Save . The application removes the previously related records from the Related Tickets table window.

  2. After you remove the relationship from all relevant records, select the main tab and clear the Global Issue, Regional Issue, or Local Issue check box.

  3. Save the record.
