Configuring Bull FDA systems
You can configure Bull StoreWay FDA systems for attachment to the IBM Spectrum Virtualize™ system.
- Supported firmware levels for the Bull FDA
The Bull FDA system must use a firmware level that is supported by the IBM Spectrum Virtualize system. - Logical unit creation and deletion for Bull FDA
You can create or delete logical units for the Bull FDA. See the storage configuration guidelines that are specified in the Bull FDA documentation that is provided for this system. - Platform type for Bull FDA
You must set all logical units that IBM Spectrum Virtualize accesses to platform type AIX (AIX®). - Access control methods for Bull FDA
You can use access control to restrict access from hosts and IBM Spectrum Virtualize clustered systems. You do not need to use access control to allow IBM Spectrum Virtualize systems to use all of the defined logical units on the system. - Setting cache allocations for Bull FDA
Cache allocations can be set manually; however, changes to the default settings can adversely affect performance and cause you to lose access to the system. - Snapshot Volume and Link Volume for Bull FDA
IBM Spectrum Virtualize does not support Bull FDA native copy services.
