Listing MDisks by using the CLI
You can use the command-line interface (CLI) to list the MDisks.
Before you begin
Perform the following steps to list the name, status, and mode of an MDisk:
Procedure
- Use the following CLI command:
lsmdisk delim :
This example is what you might see when you use the lsmdisk delim : command:

Notice that all the
MDisks are online. Possible statuses of an MDisk are:
- Online
- Offline
- Excluded
- Degraded ports
- Degraded paths
- View the mode column to see the mode of the disk. Notice that the mode is
unmanaged. Possible modes for an MDisk are:
- Managed
- Unmanaged
- Image
- Use the lsmdisk delim : 3 command to see detailed information for the
MDisk with an ID of 3. An example of what you might see is:

Whether an MDisk is in a degraded or offline state, the status and iogroup_list fields in the lsiscsistorageport can be used to see whether iSCSI controller sessions are down.
