|---|---|
| Ethernet 1 | Dedicated technician port that is used for initialization or service |
| Ethernet 2 | Management IP 1 and service IP |
| Ethernet 3 | Management IP 2 and service IP |
| Ethernet 4 | Unused |
| System management (IMM) | Is not configured or used by the IBM Spectrum Virtualize software. |
| Server PCIe slot | How that slot is used by the IBM Spectrum Virtualize software |

| Slot 7* | Supported FC or iSCSI HBA |
| Slot 8* | Supported FC or iSCSI HBA |
*Slots 6, 7, and 8 require the installation of a processor in CPU socket 2 because the PCI lanes for this server are split between CPU sockets.
Note: The boot drive slots are labeled 0 - 7. The IBM Spectrum Virtualize software displays the slots as
slot_id 0 - 7. The status of the boot drive slots can be seen in the service assistant tool GUI via
the technician port (Ethernet port1) or displayed by viewing the output from the sainfo
lsbootdrive or svcinfo lsnodebootdrive commands. Node error 543 might
be seen in the service assistant tool if the boot drives are not shown in boot drive slots 0 and
1.
