When volumes or ESXi hosts are no longer needed, or if
new ones are to replace the current ones, you can unmap volumes from
the hosts.
About this task
Important: A volume (LUN) must remain
mapped to at least one host. Otherwise, you cannot view the volume
or perform any actions on it from vSphere Web Client.
Procedure
In vSphere Web Client, locate a volume that you want to unmap:
Go to IBM Storage Services, select a service that contains the volume,
open the Related Objects tab, and select the required volume row, or
Go to IBM Storage Volumes, select the required volume.
Right-click the volume and choose Unmap or use the
Actions menu to select Unmap.Figure 1. Unmap volume
The Unmap Volume dialog box is displayed.
Select the hosts or clusters from which you want to unmap
the volume, and then click OK.
