Trusted platform module requirements
A Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is required to use the encryption and cloud backup features of IBM Spectrum Virtualize .
For TPM hardware requirements, see Server hardware.
The following requirements are indicated for Lenovo and SuperMicro servers.
- Lenovo based servers include the TPM in the base system.
- SuperMicro servers require an optional TPM purchase.
