GUI – Updating the credentials of a vCenter server

At any time, you can update the credentials that are used by Spectrum Control to access a vCenter server.

About this task

Whenever the credentials on the vCenter server side change, you can update these credentials on the Spectrum Control side to allow continued management of storage resources on the vSphere Web Client side.

Note: Prior to changing the vCenter credentials on the Spectrum Control side, verify that the vCenter user has sufficient access level to complete this procedure.

Procedure

On the Applications pane, move the mouse pointer over the vCenter server for which you want to update the credentials, and then click the Edit button. The vCenter Server Settings dialog box is displayed.

Enter the new username and password for accessing the vCenter server. Then, click Apply.
