Setting user privileges for SRA configurations

Setting the user privileges for Spectrum Virtualize Family SRA differs, depending on whether you have a pre-configured environment or a non-preconfigured environment.

Preconfigured environment

CopyOperator privilege is enough if you first create the needed volumes and map them to the recovery site VMware ESX servers.

Non-preconfigured environment

If the Pre-Configured Env. box is empty in the configuration utility, an Administrator privilege is necessary for Spectrum Virtualize Family SRA to complete the following tasks:

• Create the snapshot volumes and map the volumes to the VMware ESX servers at the recovery site.
• Run test recovery operations.

  Important: If the replicated targets are pre-mapped to the recovery site VMware ESX servers, a CopyOperator privilege is enough for recovery operations.
