Removing and replacing a CMOS battery: 2145-SV2 and 2145-SA2
The complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) battery is a coin-shaped power cell
that is mounted inside the node canister. It is used to keep the system time when there is no power
to the node canister.
About this task
Use this procedure to remove and replace a CMOS battery in a node canister. Dispose of the faulty
battery properly.
Use a flat head screwdriver to gently pop the CMOS battery out of the battery holder, as shown
in Figure 1. However, do not remove or loosen
any screws in the node canister.

Orient the replacement coin cell with the positive side up.
Gently push the new coin cell down into the battery holder.
