You can replace the fan bracket on a SAN Volume Controller 2145-DH8 node.
Before you begin
DANGER
Multiple power cords. The product might be equipped with multiple
power cords. To remove all hazardous voltages, disconnect all power cords. (L003)

Wear an anti-static wrist strap and use a static-protected mat or
surface.
About this task
This service action assumes:
The node is turned off. If you must turn off the node, ensure that
hosts will not lose access to data in volumes, as described in MAP 5350: Powering off a node.
The power cables are disconnected.
The top cover is removed.
The air baffle is removed.
The PCI express rise-card assemblies are removed.
The cables that are routed over the fan bracket are removed.
To replace the fan bracket, complete the following steps.
Procedure
Lower
the fan bracket into the chassis, as shown in Figure 1.

Align the holes in the bottom of the bracket with the pins
in the bottom of the chassis.
Press the bracket into position until the fan-bracket release
levers click into place.
Replace the fans.
Replace the cables that are routed over the fan bracket.
Replace the PCI express rise-card assemblies.
Replace the air baffle.
Replace the top cover.
If you removed the node from the rack, replace the node
in the rack.
If you removed any Fibre Channel, SAS or Ethernet cables,
using the labels that you placed on each cable, replace them in the
same ports from which they were removed.
If you removed the power cords, replace the power cords
and the cable-retention brackets.
Lift the locking levers ( 1 in Figure 2) on the slide
rails and push the server 2 all the way
into the rack until it clicks into place.
