Explanation
A SAS adapter has failed. On Storwize® V7000, FlashSystem 7200, FlashSystem 9100, and FlashSystem 9200, the adapter is located on the
node canister system board.
Data:
- On Storwize V5000, Storwize V5000E, FlashSystem 5000, Storwize V7000, FlashSystem 7200, FlashSystem 9100, and FlashSystem 9200, a number indicating the
adapter location. Location 0 indicates that the adapter integrated into the system board is being
reported.
- On SAN Volume Controller, a number indicating the adapter location. The location indicates an adapter slot. See
the node description for the definition of the adapter slot locations.
User response
- If possible, use the management GUI to run
the suggested actions for the associated service error code.
- On Storwize V5000, Storwize V5000E, FlashSystem 5000, Storwize V7000, FlashSystem 7200, FlashSystem 9100, and FlashSystem 9200, because the adapter is on the
system board, replace the node canister using the remove and replace procedures.
- On SAN Volume Controller, use the remove
and replace procedures to replace the adapter. If this procedure does not fix the problem, replace
the system board.
