GUI – Changing the password of a Spectrum Control Base user

At any time, you can change the password of a Spectrum Control Base user account.

About this task

You can modify a user account only by changing its password. Periodic password change is recommended on a regular basis.

Note: Spectrum Control Base user names cannot be changed. Instead, you can delete a user account (see GUI – Deleting a user) and then create a new one (see GUI – Adding a new user).

Click Users on the Settings menu. The Spectrum Control Base User List is displayed, which details all existing users.
Click Edit on the row of the user account that you want to update. The Change Password dialog box is displayed.

Enter the current password of the user account, and then the new password as required. The minimum password length is seven characters and it must include at least one letter and one digit. Then, click Apply.
