Filtering volumes and consistency groups by name

Use the Name Filter option if you only want to see SRM managed replicated volumes.

The following procedure includes steps and screen captures that apply when using VMware vSphere Web Client. If you are using VMware vSphere Client, similar steps are applicable.

This image shows the devices that are discovered when you do not use a filter during the search. This search is considered a full discovery search.

  1. In the VMware vSphere Web Client, right-click one of the arrays in the Array Based replication pane and then select Edit Array Manager to open the Edit Array Manager window.

  2. Click Next on the Options pane.
  3. Click Next on the Location pane.
  4. Click Next on the Select SRA type pane.
  5. Enter the consistency group name or prefix and volume name or volume name prefix in the Name Filter field on the Configure array manager pane and then click Next.

  6. Click Next on the Enable array pairs pane.
  7. Click Finish on the Ready to complete pane.

  8. Repeat steps 1-7 to add the name filter for the paired array.
