Setting SRA user privileges

Setting Spectrum Virtualize Family SRA user privileges differs depending on whether you have a preconfigured environment or a non-preconfigured environment.

Refer to the following guidelines for each case.

Preconfigured environment

If preconfiguredEnv is set to True in the SRA configuration file sra.settings, a CopyOperator privilege is enough if you first create the needed volumes and map them to the recovery site VMware ESX servers.

Non-preconfigured environment

If preconfiguredEnv is set to False in the SRA configuration file sra.settings, an Administrator privilege is necessary for Spectrum Virtualize Family SRA to complete the following tasks:

• Create snapshot volumes and map them to the VMware ESX servers at the recovery site.
• Run test recovery operations.
  Note: If the replicated targets are pre-mapped to the recovery site VMware ESX servers, a CopyOperator privilege is enough for recovery operations.
