chnodebattery

Use the chnodebattery command to set or clear the light-emitting diode (LED) on a hot-swappable battery (in a node). This command applies to SAN Volume Controller 2145-DH8 systems.

Parameters

-identify: (Optional) Allows you to control the light-emitting diode (LED).
-battery battery_id: (Optional) Specifies the battery that is in the node.
-remove: (Optional) Specifies battery removal and terminates any calibration that runs on another battery.
node: (Optional) Specifies the node that the battery is in.

Description

This command notifies the battery back-up (BBU) driver that a user wants to remove a battery.

An invocation example to make the fault LED flash on battery `1` in node `3`

chnodebattery -identify yes -battery 1 3

The resulting output:
