Removing a power supply: 2145-92F
You can remove either of the redundant power supply units in a 2145-92F expansion enclosure. Redundant power supplies operate in parallel; one continues to provide power to the enclosure if the other fails.
Before you begin
Important: You can remove a PSU without powering off the expansion enclosure. However,
to maintain operating temperature, ensure that you perform the following tasks.
About this task
Each PSU provides cooling to the lower part of the enclosure. Ensure that the second PSU in the enclosure is powered on and operating correctly. For example, in Figure 1, PSU 1 is operating while PSU 2 is being removed.
Review and follow the procedures for handling static-sensitive devices before you remove the power supply unit (PSU).
