Removing the 2145 UPS electronics

During routine maintenance, you might have to remove the 2145 UPS electronics assembly.

Before you begin

Follow all safety notices when removing the 2145 UPS electronics assembly.

About this task

Important: Check to make sure that any SAN Volume Controller that is powered by this 2145 UPS is shut down and turned off, prior to step 1. See MAP 5350: Powering off a node.

Perform the following steps to remove the 2145 UPS electronic assembly:

Procedure

  1. At the front of the 2145 UPS, press and hold the off button for approximately five seconds, or until the long beep stops. See Removing the 2145 UPS.
  2. At the back of the 2145 UPS, disconnect the signal cables number one, which are shown in Figure 1.

  3. Remove the front panel by pressing the sides inward and pulling both ends towards you, as shown in Figure 2.

  4. Remove the two screws (number one in Figure 3).

  5. Pull the electronics assembly (number two in Figure 3) out from the 2145 UPS.
