Deduplication capability support for storage services
Version 3.5.0 allows storage services to use deduplication capability available for the Spectrum Virtualize Family storage systems. This function eliminates duplicate data copies, resulting in substantial reduction in amount of stored information.
Support for data reduction pools
Version 3.5.0 lets data reduction pools to be used as storage resources on the Spectrum Virtualize Family systems. Data reduction pools support volume unmapping, eliminating a need for storage space allocation to a range of blocks on a target volume. This system optimization method ensures significant storage space re-use.
