Replacing a version of the software
You might need to remove a version of software to replace it with a previous version.
About this task
You can replace versions of software by previous versions only if the major number in the software version has not changed. If the major number in the software version changed, contact your system support center before proceeding.
Note: The software version number is in the format x.y.z, where x is a version release
number, y is a major number, and z is a minor number. For example, version number
1.2.3 has a version release number of 1, a major number of 2, and a minor number of 3. This number
determines whether software versions can revert to the previous version. It is not possible to
revert a version of software to a version that has a lower major number. For example, if version
1.2.3 is running on the cluster, it can be replaced with version 1.2.2 or 1.2.1 but it cannot be
replaced with version 1.1.6.
Complete the following steps to replace the current version of your software with a previous version:
