Installing the system hardware

This information covers the system hardware installation and initial setup of the control enclosure.

Installation overview
The installation and initial configuration of your system is your responsibility, following the plan that you created using the planning information in the Knowledge Center.
Unpacking the control enclosure
Before you unpack the FlashSystem 7200 control enclosure, ensure that you review and follow all related instructions.
Installing support rails for the control enclosure
Before you install the control enclosure into the rack, you must first install the support rails for it.
Installing a control enclosure
Following your enclosure location plan, install each control enclosure.
Connecting the components
After installing the rails and enclosures in the rack, the FlashSystem 7200 control enclosures are connected to power, the network, and any optional expansion enclosures.
Powering on the system
After you install all hardware components, you must power on the system and check its status.
