Subsystem Device Driver Device Specific Module for hosts that run supported Microsoft Windows operating systems

Subsystem Device Driver Device Specific Module (SDDDSM) is the legacy IBM multipathing driver for older Windows Server operating systems. SDDDSM supports dynamic pathing for hosts that run supported Windows Server operating systems.

Note: SDDDSM is not the recommended multipathing driver. MSDSM is the recommended multipathing driver, which is included in the Windows Server operating system.

When you use SDDDSM for multipathing, you must use a supported driver for an Emulex HBA and for a QLogic HBA.

For more detailed information about operating system SDDDSM support and supported drivers, search for Subsystem Device Driver Device Specific Module (SDDDSM) at the following website:

Note: The Microsoft Multipath I/O (MPIO) feature must be enabled when you using SDDDSM.
