Sharing the HP MA or EMA between a host and the system

Restrictions apply when HP MA and EMA storage systems are shared between a host and the system.

An HP MA or EMA can be shared between a host and the system under the following conditions:

A host cannot be connected to both the system and an HP MA or EMA storage system at the same time.
Target ports cannot be shared between a host and the system. Specifically, if an HSG80 port is in use by the system, it cannot be present in a switch zone that enables a host to access the port.
LUs and arrays cannot be shared between a host and the system.
