Setting the initiator name

The iSCSI qualified name (IQN) can be viewed or changed from the Configuration tab of the iSER software adapter control panel. You can change the default name and alias assigned to your iSER adapters.

About this task

To view or change the iSCSI IQN and iSCSI alias, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Click the General tab.
  2. Click Configure.
    The status of the Software Initiator Properties section shows Enabled.
  3. Click OK.

What to do next

The initiator name that you choose here must match the iSCSI name that is given to the system host object for this machine.
