LAN fabric

The system supports local area network (LAN) fabric networks to connect servers and enable general communication.

In a LAN fabric, Ethernet technology can increase the scalability, performance, and resilience of highly virtualized and cloud-ready data centers. SAN zoning is not needed for Ethernet fabrics.
