On IBM Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud, contact your cloud service provider and request that they fix the hardware issue. On all other products, look at a boot drive view to determine the problem.
  1. If the slot status is out of sync, resynchronize the boot drives by running the satask chbootdrive command.
  2. If the slot status is missing, put the original drive back in this slot or install a FRU drive.
  3. If the slot status is failed, replace the drive.
