Explanation
This error can occur when the Identity and Access Management (IAM) role does not have the
permissions that are required to run the command. Access in Amazon Web Services (AWS) is managed by
creating policies and attaching them to IAM roles. IAM roles are then assigned to Elastic Compute
Cloud (EC2) instances. An IAM role with the required permissions is bundled with the product.

Follow the Directed Maintenance Procedures (DMP) to log on to the AWS management console and add
the required permissions to the IAM role of the EC2 instance.
