Explanation

This error occurs when call home information cannot be sent to the cloud service. Typically this error occurs when network issues exist, or when the cloud service is unavailable.

Complete the following steps:
  1. Ensure that port 443 is open in any firewalls so that secure HTTP connections can be established between the system and the call home servers in the cloud. On systems that use DNS, allow outbound traffic over port 443 to esupport.ibm.com. On systems that do not use DNS, allow outbound traffic on port 443 to the following IP addresses: 129.42.54.189, 129.42.56.189, and 129.42.60.189.
  2. Use the sendcloudcallhome -connectiontest command to test the connection to the cloud service, and then view the test results by using the lscloudcallhome command.
