Service level:

This is Tivoli Storage Manager Server for AIX service level 5.2.7.0 
for the following filesets:

  5270ACS.bff           tivoli.tsm.devices.acsls
  5270D5.bff            tivoli.tsm.devices.aix5.rte
  5270DMG.bff           tivoli.tsm.msg.en_US.devices
  5270SMG.bff           tivoli.tsm.msg.en_US.server
  5270WMG.bff           tivoli.tsm.msg.en_US.webhelp
  5270S5.bff            tivoli.tsm.server.aix5.rte64
  5270COM.bff           tivoli.tsm.server.com
  5270S4.bff            tivoli.tsm.server.rte
  5270WEB.bff           tivoli.tsm.server.webadmin

For ftp convenience these packages have been tar'd and gzip'd into the file
TSMSRVAIX5270.tar.gz

Using:

This Service level is intended as a complete service upgrade for your 5.2.0.0 Server. 

To "install", as root user, follow these steps:

1. Get (bin) TSMSRVAIX5270.tar.gz 
2. unzip and untar the file to extract all the install packages
3. Obtain a list of your current Tivoli Storage Manager Server software
   The command "lslpp -L all | grep tivoli"  will list all Tivoli storage manager/agent
   software installed.
4. Tivoli device defintions for Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP) devices will not be saved, 
   therefore you should obtain a list of all devices you currently have defined via 
   Tivoli device support.  The "lsdev -C" and "lsdev -P" commands will aid you in creating 
   this list.
5. Halt your Tivoli Storage Manager server
   Note: if you do not halt your server, your database and webadmin will not
         be upgraded and you will have to perform these steps manually when the 
         installation is complete. 
6. Start SMIT and select the following options
   o Software Install and Maintenance
     o Install and Update Software
       o Install and Update from ALL Available Software
         o Specify INPUT device/directory
           o List SOFTWARE to Install - Select only those filesets that 
             are in the list you made in step 3. 
           o set "COMMIT software updates?" to yes 
           o set  "SAVE replaced files?" to no
7. If you had any Tivoli device defintions for FCP devices you must redefine these 
   Tivoli devices.
8. restart the server.

Service level 5.2.7.0 also effects Storage Agents. 
If you use it, you can obtain the associated install package
